American Diabetes alert Day – March 27

  19th annual Diabetes alert day is celebrated to increase awareness about diabetes among American people. More than 6 million Americans are not aware that they have diabetes are at diabetes risk.   Diabetes is a disease with either decreased insulin secretion or inefficient use by the body.     Diabetes Risk factors:   1. Uncontrolled blood pressure 2. Obesity 3. Family history of diabetes 4. Sedentary people 5. Old age persons 6. African and Asian Americans     Signs of Diabetes:   1. Frequent urination   2. Extreme thirst   3. Weight loss without any cause     How to control Diabetes:   1. Reduce weight   2. Reduce Cholesterol level   3. Exercise for 30-45 minutes   4. Monthly checkups.   5. Control blood pressure   6. Stay away from fat and fast foods. Eat green leafy vegetables and fat-free diet.   More than 65% of people with diabetes died due to Heart attack.
